WHAT WE’RE ABOUT
We love story and we love matchmaking. Put those together and WHAMMO! You have a full service casting resource.
Having worked on both coasts in multiple industries — both as a performer and production partner — KSD Casting has an empathy and understanding of what it takes to keep performers and production teams safe, efficient, and motivated. When actors feel safe to play, production gains a wealth of options.
We cast for animation, video games, podcasts, film, and theatre.
We love tech. We love art. We love performers.
We are as loud or as quiet as you need us to be in your process.
Our work with major directors and companies allows us to keep a foot in not-for-profits, regional theatre, and start-ups. We recognize the value in the spectrum and have a deep love for the vibrant and chaotic hustle of making art.

“Kim is not just great at casting—you want her in the booth. She keeps the team’s energy up, knows how to talk to stakeholders, and she can discreetly slip a director a magic word or two to bridge the communication gap with a performer. She’s fucking impressive.”
— LON HABER
CEO, Lon Haber & Co | IPPR
“Kim’s passion for equitable casting brought us an insanely talented and diverse group of performers—we were thrilled. She elevated the quality of our show tremendously. Kim had the starring role in our 50 episode audio drama and quickly became a fan favorite as a strong, badass character who also has great comedic timing. Side note: She’s also a terrific director and actress and covered scratch and more than a few characters for us. She cares about story. She cares about quality. If something isn’t right, she’ll fix it. Grab her while you can because I’m working hard to create a position for her here. I’ll fight you for her time.”
— CHRISTOF LAPUTKA
Founder/CEO, Leviathan Audio Productions
“We had an emergency casting situation and Kim not only handled our chaos like a champ, she took in our story needs and delivered what we were looking for and more. She’s who you want to run into battle with.”
— MARK ANDREWS
Director, Brave/Super Giant Robot Brothers
“I’ve worked with Kim as a producer, Acting Coach, and CD. SHE MAKES MAGIC HAPPEN! As a Casting director she has the kind of instinct, work ethic, and talent that makes the ensemble she helps you create sparkle. As a producer, she’s got the strategy, hustle, and interpersonal muscle to bring complex projects together with a sense of joy. As an acting coach she is ELECTRIC. She helps directors and actors see a character can move between funny and deep, audacious and understated. She helps you feel your story. She is just one of those creative partners who rolls up her sleeves and brings your project home”
— ERICA MILSOM

Director, Snow Day & So Much Yellow, MicMato Media
